More information

Flowers are deep yellow, with 38 pointed petals and a light fragrance. They reach 12 cm in diameter, and the coloring is consistent at all stages of bloom. Shoots are medium length. The flowers do not fade for a long time. The bush is tall, shows disease resistance, and the foliage is pale green and glossy. Disease resistance is typical for a yellow rose, but black spot is possible.

More than 70 years after its first introduction to the market in Germany, Landora remains among the most popular yellow roses, especially in Europe. The flowers show well in semi-dormancy and maintain their appearance when fully open with stamens visible. They hold their coloring well—a pure bright yellow with golden highlights between the petals. Although classified as a Hybrid Tea rose, the blooms often appear in clusters of up to 7pc, on long, strong shoots that stand well when cut. The bush is vigorous, winter-hardy, and disease resistant, and a climbing form known as Climbing Landora has been introduced.
