


















The rose cultivar ‘Lan’ is an essential oil-bearing rose of the Alba, Damask, and Hybrid Gallica group. In competitive varietal trials it has shown a flower yield of 39.1 centners per hectare, an essential oil mass fraction of 0.113%, and an essential oil yield of 4.51 kg per hectare.
The flowers are pale to light pink, large, and very full, with approximately 77 petals. The plant flowers once per season in spring or summer. Shoots bear about 2–3 prickles per 10 cm. The foliage is large, medium green, and leathery, with leaves consisting of 5 to 7 leaflets. The growth habit is arching and compact, and plants reach about 125 cm in height and about 145 cm in width. The cultivar shows resistance to rust. It was bred in the former USSR by L. A. Grishchenko and L. G. Nazarenko. Synonyms include ‘Lany’ and ‘Лані’.
