More information
This bi-coloured rose was bred for use as a cut flower. Laminuette, with petals edged in pale crimson, was raised by Mme. A. Meilland; the base colour is creamy white with a pale yellow tinge at the centre. As the bloom develops, the crimson lightens to pink and moves from the margin toward the centre of the flower. The blooms are double, open slowly, and retain their form throughout all stages of flowering. Laminuette also performs in garden settings, especially in hot climates where powdery mildew and black spot are not significant issues. The plant is short but well-branched, with glossy dark green foliage.
The variety was originally intended for cutting, but it is also used in gardens. In hot weather, the white base may turn yellow. The blooms have a long vase life and remain on the plant without fading for an extended period. Used for low hedges. Grown in bush form.
