More information
Thick, rounded buds in this variety indicate large blooms. The flowers have about 40 petals, are goblet-shaped, and retain their form at dewlap. The coloring is dark scarlet and the fragrance is noticeable. After the first flush of bloom, flowers continue to appear through summer and autumn. Performs well in hot climates, forming a medium-height bush with light green foliage.
In bloom, the bush presents a bouquet-like mass of flowers. Buds are most often solitary or in clusters of three, produced in large numbers. Buds are ovoid; the flowers have a velvety texture; leaves are large and glossy; the bush shows a symmetrical habit and is suitable for standard cultivation practices.
