In June 2015, at the Nikitsky Garden, the rose cultivar “Crimean Spring” bloomed for the first time. According to Zinaida Konstantinovna Klimenko—Doctor of Biological Sciences, head of the Laboratory of Floriculture at NBS-NSC, and the breeder who worked on its development for 7 years—“Crimean Spring” has snow-white flowers with a red border along the edge, resembling almond blossom.
