More information

Krasnokamenka is a large-flowered climbing rose bred by Vera Nikolaevna Klimenko in the former USSR in 1959.

Flowers are red with purple/violet undertones, velvety, double, with about 30–35 petals, and large, with a diameter of about 9.5–10 cm. They are borne in large clusters of approximately 11–25 flowers. The fragrance is strong to moderate. Flowering occurs once, in June–July (spring or summer).

The shrub is a medium-height, climbing (plaited) form, 200–250 cm tall and up to 100 cm wide. Leaves are large, dark green, and glossy.
