More information

Rosa kordesii H. Wulff is a Hybrid Kordesii rose with deep pink, double flowers containing approximately 17 to 25 petals. It flowers in flushes throughout the growing season. The plant typically reaches about 150 cm in height and 150 cm in width. It can be grown in USDA hardiness zones 3b through 9b. The cultivar was bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II in Germany in 1940 and was introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 1951 under the name Rosa kordesii H. Wulff. It is tetraploid and resulted from unreduced gametes of the usually sterile hybrid Max Graf (Rosa rugosa × Rosa wichurana).
