More information

Named after a German industrialist who contributed to rebuilding the German economy after World War II. Konrad Henkel is a large hybrid tea rose. The blooms are dark scarlet with crimson shading and a well-defined form. They tolerate heat and rain; the petals are strong and dense. Flowers appear singly or in small clusters (no more than 4 pcs) on long, straight stems, suitable for cutting. The shrub is tall and upright, with large, dark foliage that is usually highly resistant to disease, though powdery mildew may appear at the end of the season. It blooms abundantly and reblooms well.
