Hybrid of the spiny rose (Rosa spinosissima). Flowers 5–7 cm across, semi-double, in small inflorescences; from a distance cream-white with yellow stamens, at close range a slight pinkish tint is visible. Fragrance is strong. Blooming is early, in June, once, abundant. After flowering, black fruits form. Leaves with 7–9 small leaflets, disease-resistant. Shrub 100–120 cm tall. Grows well in semi-shade on poor, dry soils.
