Viking Roses, a Danish company, is launching a new series of cut cultivars called Rosa Loves Me, which includes varieties by breeder Rosa Esklund, who has spent more than 10 years developing new varieties. The breeding goal was to combine in a single flower the appearance and fragrance of “grandmother’s” garden roses, the unpretentiousness of potted varieties, and the long flowering period typical of modern cut cultivars. The company states it will add to the series every year. The central petals are orange, and the outermost petals are salmon-pink.
