More information
After 50 years of breeding roses with the old-fashioned form, ‘Janet’ was the first cultivar with goblet-shaped blooms obtained in the line. It forms a large shrub with arching, weeping shoots and tapered buds that gradually open to rosette-form flowers, combining traits of both rose groups. The blooms are borne at the ends of long, flexible shoots that bend under their weight. Buds are pink with copper tones. Flower colour is a blend of pink with yellow glints; the reverse of the petals is a delicate yellow, fading almost to white. The fragrance is tea-like. The plant shows strong disease resistance. It can be grown as a climber; with support it reaches 2.4 m.
