More information
Iskra is a simple, low-fragrance rose from the 1960s. The breeder aimed to combine the growth vigour of Danse de Sylphes with the bright orange colouring of Zambra. The flowers open quickly and maintain a bright scarlet colour. They appear in small clusters, usually 3–7, sometimes much larger, and tolerate rain well. The shrub is vigorous, somewhat bare underneath, with large, glossy, rounded foliage.
