More information
Silky texture, fragrance, and colour characterize Indian Summer. The flowers are a bright peachy yellow, with a slightly darker, more apricot-toned underside to the petals. The colour persists for a long time, although the edges gradually fade to a creamy shade over time. The blooms are cup-shaped at first, then open to show short petals in the centre, surrounding red stamens. They appear in clusters of up to 7pc and are fragrant. The foliage is thick and dark, and the young growth is bronze. The shoots are very prickly.
