More information
Imperatrice Farah opens with buds whose petal edges are pale crimson. The petals are formed into a classic bud so that only the colored tips unfold outward. At first they appear predominantly crimson, but as they bloom the flowers become largely white. The contrast between the white petals and the crimson edges is present at all stages of flowering. The flowers are large, with long petals, usually borne singly, occasionally in clusters of up to 5 on long stems, suitable for cutting. The foliage is large, glossy, and resistant to black spot; the bush is upright and vigorous.
