More information
The variety, discovered by chance in Holland, has a strong fragrance and a red wine colour. The bush does not exceed 100 cm and produces many 9 cm flowers that tolerate rain well. The petals are slightly velvety. The large foliage is mahogany in colour when young. It is susceptible to disease and defoliates at the first wave of infection, but flowering continues. The bush performs poorly when competing with other plants. Plant gaura at the base to hide bare shoots during the season and leave only the flowers visible.
