More information

Heritage is a widely grown English rose. The blooms are cup-shaped and medium-sized. Centers are clear pink, while the outer petals are nearly white. The fragrance is strong, with honeyed notes. The shrub carries smooth foliage and almost hairless shoots; it is vigorous, branching, and readily produces basal shoots bearing new flowers. It repeat-flowers abundantly and develops a rounded habit.

Among the most popular David Austin English roses. It flowers very profusely in two or three waves, with lighter bloom between, continuing until the first frost. The blooms are salmon-pink in the center and creamy white toward the outside. The globular flowers rarely open fully and are densely petalled, so they do not tolerate rain or excessive moisture well. Petals shatter quickly, making Heritage unsuitable for cutting. Flowers are produced in clusters of 3–7 across the bush, from the top down toward the ground. Long, arching, almost thornless shoots bend under the weight of the blooms and then flower along their entire length. If unpruned (the variety prefers minimal pruning), it forms an upright, branching shrub. Foliage is sparse, with large, glossy leaves; generally disease-resistant, though black spot may appear. Performs better in cool climates. Its popularity is often attributed to health, abundant bloom, and delicate flowers.

Flowers fade quickly; petals are thin. The shrub is medium in height and blooms regularly. Performs better in cold climates.

An often-grown English rose noted for old-style blooms and a pronounced fragrance. Flowers are 7–11 cm in diameter, cup-shaped, borne in clusters, delicate pink. The scent includes a lemon note. The shrub is branching; in cold climates it reaches 120–150 cm high and 100–120 cm wide, in hot climates 150–180 cm high and 120–150 cm wide. Disease resistance is low.
