More information
Heidekonigin was introduced as a groundcover rose and can also be trained as a climbing rose. The flowers are slightly coral-pink, fading to pink, with wavy, slightly recurved petals. They are produced in long, loose clusters of 10–30 and tend to droop as they open. The foliage is dark, fine-textured, evergreen, and disease resistant. The shoots are very flexible, allowing the bush to be shaped on a support; flowering occurs when many other roses have almost finished their first flush. Although the variety is once-blooming, scattered later single blooms appear.
The flowers are medium-sized (5–5.5 cm), deep pink with a coral tinge, double, with a light fragrance. They have a very regular rounded form with wavy petals. The plant is floriferous, and the glossy dark green foliage contrasts with the flowers.
