More information
H.C. Andersen is a low floribunda or large-flowered miniature rose named after the Danish storyteller. The blooms are bright scarlet to blood red; the colour fades only slightly with age. They are semi-double, with wavy petals and pale stamens in the centre. Flowers are borne in clusters of 5–11. The foliage is dark green and shows disease resistance; young growth is bronze. In Denmark the bush remains low, but in hot climates it can reach 1.5m if not pruned.
