In 2011, the title “Golden Rose of Baden-Baden” was given to the fast-growing floribunda rose ‘Hansestadt Rostock’, which scored 79 out of 100. Rich green foliage sets off apricot–orange terry flowers borne in umbrella-shaped inflorescences. Numerous flowers open on a single stem at the same time, creating a massed display and releasing a light, faint fragrance. In the first year, group plantings close completely, forming a continuous living wall. This compact rose with abundant, long-lasting flowering is suitable for both private gardens and public plantings. The variety was bred at the Rosen Tantau nursery north-west of Hamburg, Germany.
