More information

Miniature roses span a wide size range, from very small to nearly floribunda dimensions. Gypsy Jewel by Ralph Moore, bred in 1975, is among the largest miniatures, reaching 60 cm tall and carrying deep pink blooms about 5 cm across. The foliage is dark green.

Buds are oval and pointed. Flowers are rich pink, slightly fading, with a high-centered form; petals bend downward as they open; medium-sized (3–5 cm), very full (up to 100 petals), lightly fragrant, appearing both in small clusters and singly on thin, sturdy pedicels. Leaves are elongated, dark green, leathery, glossy; young leaves and shoots are dark red. Prickles are sparse. Bushes are compact. Bloom is moderate throughout the season. Flowers are long-lasting.
