More information
Golden Holstein is a yellow floribunda: its semi-branched flowers display a uniform, saturated yellow with no orange or red. The petals are slightly wavy, and the flowers appear in large, dense clusters, usually 5–15 together. The stamens remain yellow for a long time; the colour fades in heat, but the flowers are rain-tolerant. The foliage is disease-resistant, with powdery mildew occurring only occasionally. Bloom waves follow one another continuously, keeping the bush in flower. The variety is vigorous, but plant height depends on climate and girdling. In its native Germany it rarely exceeds 75 cm, but in hot countries it can grow twice as tall.
