More information

Tea-hybrid rose with large yellow blooms up to 15 cm across (lower petals may show white edges); as the flowers open, the color lightens to a pale butter tone. Blooms are most often solitary and persist well on the plant. Suitable for cutting. Fragrance of medium intensity. Tolerates rain well. Flowering is usually continuous throughout the season. Foliage is glossy to semi-glossy, dark green, and large.

Most Western sources classify this rose in the group “Hybrid Tea Bush Rose,” as it bears the typical tea-hybrid flower form, usually one per stem, and a shrub height exceeding that of usual floribundas. Manufacturer recommendations: in warm climates, use light or moderate pruning; in colder climates, use hard pruning; remove spent blooms; spacing between plants about 70 cm. Preventive treatment against black spot is advised. In Europe this rose is sold by: Country Garden Roses - Shropshire, The Cornish Rose Company - Cornwall, Dickson Nurseries Ltd - Co. Down, C & K Jones - Cheshire, Style Roses - Lincolnshire, Wych Cross Garden Centre - East Sussex.
