More information
This variety bears white flowers on a bush with slender, fragile branches. The flowers are deeply cup-shaped and strongly scented with myrrh. As the rose is quite short, it is suitable for small gardens, the front of a border, and for flowerbeds. It blooms profusely as a floribunda while retaining the character of old-fashioned roses; in bloom the bush forms a cloud-like mass of flowers.
Glamis Castle is a white rose bred by David Austin. It is highly responsive to good care and watering. The flowers are pure white, with a creamy tinge in the centre, wide-cup-shaped, with masses of small petals. They appear in small clusters and are highly rain-resistant. The bush is low, branched, with masses of small twigs, very prickly. It blooms repeatedly and abundantly, suitable for the foreground of the border. Sometimes affected by powdery mildew and black spot.
