Hybrid Multiflora of pink colour, in a rich shade.
Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (Austria–Hungary, historic name) in 1880.
Presented in Luxembourg by the Ketten brothers in 1885 as “Décoration de Geschwind”.
Hybrid Multiflora.

Deep pink with a purple tint; white outer petals. No or very faint fragrance. Medium-sized, very double; flowers flat or rounded, mostly solitary or in small clusters. Blooms once in spring or summer.

Climber with a sprawling habit; thornless (or nearly so); upright growth. Dark green foliage.
Height 13'1" to 16'5" (400 to 500 cm).
USDA zone 4a or warmer. Fast-growing and hardy; requires sunlight and regular feeding.

White border along the petal edges; reported by some as completely fragrance-free.
Origin not settled, and Geschwind himself gave differing accounts. The 1889 description is followed here, associated with the bicolour trait.
