More information
This cultivar is regarded as a form of the species Rosa moyesii, differing only in the colour of the flowers. The form is regarded as more compact, but bush size and shape vary with cultivation conditions and population, as in the original species. The flowers are scarlet, with golden stamens in the centre. The hips are abundant, elongated, and bright red. The form was selected at Weasley Gardens in the UK by the Royal Rose Society, and was probably raised from seed collected in the wild.
