More information
Rosa Kordana (Kordana rose) is a miniature classic rose with abundant flowering, suitable for both garden and interior cultivation. The birthplace of this plant is the subtropics and temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Rose Cordana mix entered the local market of cultivated flowering plants from the subtropical regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
This miniature bright yellow rose produces small (4.5–5 cm) densely petaled, cup-shaped flowers, sometimes with a flat form. The middle of Apollo is not denuded, and the rich sunny-yellow flowers are accompanied by light-green foliage of medium size. Plants bear a small number of prickles. The bush forms a spherical habit, with a height of 20–30 cm. Flowering is long and continuous, and its abundance can obscure the foliage. It blooms with single flowers. A noted drawback is that this miniature can burn out in hot weather without watering. Apollo shows high frost resistance and above-average disease resistance; in unfavorable years the variety can be affected by black spot. It is used in landscaping in single and group plantings, in mixborders, for borders and paths, as well as in potted and container culture.
