More information
Modern Harkness cultivars, especially hybrid tea and floribunda, often show wavy petals or a slight twist. Welwyn Garden Glory produces large apricot blooms with slightly darker petal reverses, creating darker shadowing between the petals. The flowers gradually fade through cream to soft pink, while the center remains darker. They usually appear singly, occasionally in groups of 2–3, and hold well as cut flowers. The plant forms a strong, narrow, upright bush with stiff shoots. The foliage is dark green and glossy.
