More information
A modern moss rose. Scented salmon-pink blooms fade to cream with time. Sepals bearing moss-like growths emit a musky scent when rubbed. Plants form upright bushes. The flower form does not fit neatly within the proposed classification. A classic bud unfolds into a free-form, moderately undulated bloom that exposes the midrib; the outermost large petals reflex outward, as in pompon-shaped roses, while the central small petals are loosely set around the center. At full expansion, the bloom is nearly flat.
