More information

A rose variety that bears large, fully double flowers of rosette form. They are dark pink in colour, with the outer petals of each bloom paling slightly over time as the flowers mature. The flowers display a strong fruity fragrance characteristic of the cultivar when in bloom. Gabriel Oak exhibits a vigorous growth habit; it forms a very slender, broad, rounded bush with purple‑mulberry coloured stems/canes and dark green foliage. Named after Thomas Hardy's favourite character from the novel Far from the Madding Crowd.
