More information
Friesia has been a prominent yellow floribunda since the 1970s and remains popular. The flowers are bright yellow, with a darker reverse to the petals. They fade only slightly and retain their shape at all stages of flowering. The red stamens of the fully opened blooms are conspicuous. Fragrant flowers appear singly or in clusters of 3–7 and persist for a long time. The bush is compact, disease-resistant, with dark green, glossy foliage. Blooms almost continuously. Performs in both hot and cold weather and withstands rain. Suitable for cultivation in poor soils.
Flowers may drop quickly, and the interval between flowering waves can be quite long.
