Frederic Mistral initially resembles a hybrid tea rose until it opens and reveals many inner petals arranged in an antique style. This combination recalls some English roses: Frederic Mistral belongs to the Romantica rose series, combining qualities of old-fashioned roses with the vigor and health of modern roses. The flowers are soft pink, with a slightly darker reverse. They usually appear singly, sometimes in clusters of 3-5. The fragrance is very rich, reminiscent of old Damask roses, and can fill the surrounding air. The bush is strong, upright, with bright green, disease-resistant foliage. Repeat flowering is very fast. In hot climates it can reach 2 m in height; flowers perform better in dry weather.
