More information
Francine Austin is a rose cultivar. From pink buds, large, airy sprays of numerous small snow-white flowers open repeatedly until the first frosts. It is classified as a modern Musk hybrid, with rosette or pompon-shaped blooms, sometimes showing golden stamens in the center. Sprays carry about 10–30 flowers; trusses become larger in autumn and can be partly concealed by pale green foliage. The shrub is spreading, may sprawl, is usually wider than tall, and requires either hard pruning or support from neighboring plants. In hot climates it can reach 2 m and can be trained as a pleached rose; the shoots are flexible.
