A modern iteration of “Lady in Camellias.” The rounded blooms resemble camellias, as does the coloring: delicate lilac with a pale yellow heart. The fragrance is subtle and traditional for roses—rose oil and white pepper. The variety shows excellent health.
Lilac blooms with a smoky sheen. Intense spicy fragrance. Flowers approximately 8 cm in diameter, double , old-fashioned form.
Flower color varies with weather and growing conditions. The hue can be a pale, smoky grey‑lilac, appearing more grey than Nimbus but less grey than Grey Pearl. In hot weather, blooms can turn smoky pink, or a grey‑purple reminiscent of Veilchenblau with purple and pink tones. Flowers are old-style, densely petalled, large (about 10 cm), and fragrant. They appear in large clusters, with considerable intervals between flowering waves, on a disease‑resistant, spreading bush.
