Bud bright red, elongated form, opens slowly. Flowers are bright orange-red, with a velvety tone and a yellow eye; they darken slightly with age, goblet-shaped, large (9.5–10 cm), double (25–31 petals), fragrant, borne singly on strong pedicels and stems. The bushes are medium-sized, compact. Leaves are dark green, medium-sized, glossy, leathery, with spines on the underside. The spines are numerous. Flowering is abundant, recurrent.
