Felicia is a Pemberton musk hybrid characterized by double blooms with long petals, pink upper surfaces, an apricot reverse, and creamy petal bases, giving an overall light salmon tone. Flowers are borne in large clusters: 5–15 per truss in the first flush; in autumn the trusses increase to as many as 50 on the tips of new shoots arising from the base. The shrub is spreading and requires only minimal pruning in the first years until it attains size. Foliage is large and dark green; thorns are large. Widely grown in England and used in mixborders.
A fragrant musk rose with 7.5cm-diameter double flowers produced in clusters, carrying a medium to strong scent. New blooms open soft pink or peach-pink with a hybrid tea–like form, then broaden to rosettes and fade to cream. It flowers heavily in early summer, repeats moderately in summer, and often produces another very heavy flush in autumn. In cool weather the blooms are deeper in color and persist longer. Large red hips develop in autumn. Shoots are long and arching. The shrub is broad and branched, reaching 100–250 cm in height and 120–300 cm in width depending on climate, and it can be grown as a climbing rose. Shows strong disease resistance. Suitable for gardens with pastel color schemes.
