More information
A modern dark red cut rose with tall, strong stems. The Explorer rose is characterized by its flower: an elongated bud with tightly packed petals; even at full opening the center remains concealed.
Petals are regularly arranged; the foliage is dark green. Blooms are large, 11–13 centimetres in diameter, and become cup-shaped when fully open. Flowers appear singly or in clusters of 3–5. Stems of this variety are thick and strong and tolerate transport and storage well. Leaves are dark green, glossy, and regular in shape. The variety produces several waves of flowering with rest periods between them. It is notable for very early flowering, earlier than many rose varieties.
The bush is upright, vertically elongated, with erect shoots, reaching 100–120 cm in height and about 70 cm in width. The plant shows resistance to adverse environmental conditions, including heat, frost, prolonged rains, and diseases.
