Flowers with 40-45 petals develop from an elongated, purplish-red bud of classic form. The bloom displays red-purple coloration that fades in heat to lighter tones. In bloom the flower is tall, with a closed, tight center and scalloped petal edges. The outer petals (in heat) and toward the base are slightly lighter. The foliage is dark green and leathery. 1999 is the patent application date.
