A variety characterized by smoky-purple color and a strong fragrance in bloom. Smoky-purple buds develop and then blossom into densely waved, old-style flowers, plum-coloured with a smoky dusting. The clove fragrance is pronounced and intense overall. The bush is of medium height, well-branched, and erect in habit. The variety takes time to establish and mature before it comes into full performance.
