In most varieties of this group, the flowers are large and terry, with a pronounced "pink" fragrance. Growth is upright, vigorous. Leaves are dark green, matte, fairly dense. With summer pruning, the varieties show remontancy. Winter hardiness is higher than in tea varieties: in southern Ukraine and in the steppe Crimea they can overwinter under an autumn earth mound (25–30 cm). In more northern and eastern regions, winter digging is required. In the southern regions of the Union, only a few varieties of this group continued to be cultivated.
