More information
This schraub combines large flowers with good winter hardiness and potential for use in the garden. The blooms are bright pink with a white center, yellow stamens, and a white reverse of the petals; the color contrast is most pronounced as the buds open. Flowers appear singly or in dense clusters of up to 5, followed by red fruits. Typically blooms until frost; removing developing fruits increases bloom quantity. The bush is low, compact, and branching; when grown on its own roots, it forms thickets. Reaches 50–60 cm in height. The foliage is small, glossy, and resistant to diseases.
A hardy rose. This schrab bears cup-shaped terry flowers about 8–9 cm in diameter. The petals are bright, pure pink on top and creamy pink on the underside, giving the wavy petals a bicolour effect. The flowers appear singly or in small clusters, in large numbers from early summer until frost. Flowering may be abundant enough that foliage is scarcely visible. The shoots are prickly. Even without pruning it forms a compact bush about 90–120 cm high and 90 cm wide. Responsive to good care and hardy. High disease resistance.
Shade tolerant variety.
