Produced by crossing a hybrid tea rose with a polyantha rose, it ranks among the earliest true floribunda roses. Its flowers on unbranched peduncles are borne in large numbers, keeping the shrub in continuous bloom. The flowers are scarlet that does not burn, evenly colored, with no white spots or streaks, and a small cluster of golden stamens at the center. They are carried in clusters of 3–9, on a branched shrub that can be cultivated under a range of conditions.
