More information
Although this rose is sometimes classified as purple, Duftrausch is closer in color to pale crimson or cherry. The coloration is saturated and non-muted. The flowers are very large, reaching up to 15 cm in diameter when fully open, with golden stamens visible at the center. The flowers are almost always solitary, borne on long shoots. The fragrance is strong, sweet, and fruity. The variety responds well to care and prefers very light pruning; with light pruning it grows quickly and blooms in successive waves until late autumn. The foliage is dark, matte, and highly disease-resistant, and the shrub is vigorous and well-branched.
