Old Garden Rose, gallica/provins "Duchesse d'Angouleme", France, introduced by Jean-Pierre Vibert in 1827, Usually is white, pink, lavender in color, deep cup bloom shape, full petal count, blooms 7 - 8 cm in size, has 5-10 buds per stem, once rebloom, has rich fragrance, the bush shape can be arching, 120 cm in height, 100 cm in width, suitable for USDA zone 5 from -29°C and above, moderate resistance to rain, strong resistance to black spot, strong resistance to mildew.

More information

Rounded pink buds unfold into double, cupped flowers. The color ranges from pink to lilac-pink, fading to almost white over time. The flowers have a drooping habit. Presumably a hybrid between Gallica and Centifolia.
