Red–pink–salmon flowers with 17–25 petals, showing a yellow spot at the point of attachment. Borne on shoots in small inflorescences, in full bloom they reveal the midrib. The bush is upright, with dark green, glossy foliage. The variety is named in honour of paediatrician Eileen O'Neill.
