More information
Douce Symphonie is a compact miniature rose. The blooms typically present a red-and-white effect with a distinct colour pattern: petals begin pale yellow with an almost white reverse and a broad crimson margin reminiscent of old carnation types. As the flower opens, the yellow and cream fade to white, and the crimson fades to pink and overlays the white portions of the petals. Flowers appear in small clusters (usually 3–7) and are accompanied by fine-textured, glossy foliage. The shrub is branched and not prone to disease. It blooms early and continues flowering until the first frost. Sometimes recommended as a groundcover rose; also used in containers or small gardens alongside other plants.
Semi-branched habit; flowers with a light yellow-orange centre and deep pink petal edges, borne singly on shoots or in inflorescences of up to 9. No fragrance. Semi-glossy, dark green foliage.
