More information
Doris Tysterman is an orange hybrid tea rose. The blooms are yellow on the upper surface of the petals and crimson on the underside; reflections in the shadowed spaces between petals create an overall orange effect. Sometimes the blooms show more tangerine or apricot tones, but the perceived color stays within that range. The outer petals are much larger than the inner ones, shaping the bloom’s profile. Flowers are carried on long shoots and are suitable for cutting. The shrub is tall; unpruned it can reach 2 m, upright, with large prickles. The foliage is disease-resistant, dark, and glossy. Young shoots are crimson.
