More information
Dolcetto is placed in the premium category of hybrid tea roses; as a relatively new cultivar, it remains little known among gardeners and rose aficionados. The cut flowers show lavender shades and are used for vintage-style compositions. The bush has an upright habit, reaching 70 - 100 cm in height and spreading up to 60 cm in width. The crown is of medium density, and the foliage is large, glossy, and dark green. The plant is characterised by a high growth rate. Each stem sets 1 to 3 buds with a greenish hue. A single bush can carry 10 inflorescences at different stages of opening at the same time. The petals are dense and stiff: they do not dry out in heat and do not fall off in rain, though in bright sun they slightly bleach. After flowering ends, the inflorescences dry out and remain preserved.
