More information
The bloom has a classic form and releases a strong fragrance. Rich lilac-colored buds, set within the calyx, open to pink-purple flowers on shrubs with purple stems; plants are vigorous and show high disease resistance.
The variety’s second name, Soeur Emmanuelle, commemorates Sister Emmanuelle, a nun known for charitable work. Dense lilac-colored flowers fade over time, developing a greyish cast. The scent is strong, with notes of spicy herbs (anise, dill, basil, lavender). Bushes have a balanced crown. Delicate petals can be damaged during prolonged rains.
