More information
A garden rose with an extended flowering time. Warm pink buds open to reveal pure white blooms, showing a slight pink tint at the earliest stage of flowering. The blooms are cup-shaped with concave petals, and their form is emphasized by contrasts of light and shadow. As the bloom expands, the lustre of the stamens becomes apparent inside. Over time, the flowers open wider and wider. The flowers retain their shape in wet weather and exhibit a strong myrrh fragrance.
This variety forms a strong, healthy bush that can be used in a border, given its long flowering time. It is also suitable for combining with other shrubs and perennials in a mixborder. The rose is named after the main character in Shakespeare's tragedy Othello.
