More information
This vigorous miniature rose is popular in the USA but is seldom cultivated outside the country. Cupcake bears pure pink blooms—darker in cool weather and paler in hot conditions—composed of many small, inward-curving petals. The outer petals are longer than the inner ones and may fade slightly with age. Flowers appear singly or in small clusters and persist on the plant for an extended period. The plant re-blooms quickly, resulting in almost continuous flowering. Cupcake has disease-resistant, shiny, greyish foliage on a rounded, compact bush. It tolerates both heat and cold and is often recommended for container growing.
This variety has pure pink terry flowers, 4-5 cm in diameter, tea-hybrid in form and fragrant. The bush is rounded, compact, with abundant shiny foliage.
